On September 15, 2009 over 40 people made the trip to UVU in Orem to see Coach Joe Wolfe Davis as he was inducted into the Utah Wrestling Hall of Fame. Current Buckaroo Coach Kent Adair and past Coach John Dowell introduced the Wolfe. Both Coaches talked about the positive impact Coach Davis had on them and the kids. They shared stories and even shed a couple tears. Coach Davis talked about how its always been about the kids and that it was never just him but we. (D.A.D) Coach shed a few tears and told how grateful he was for the blessings in is life, for the relationships and friendships. He told how the teams always worked hard and played harder. He pointed out his wife Pat as his best friend and his love for her and his two kids Jordan and Becky. All in all it was worth the 8 hour trip for those from Monticello and worth returning home at 3am. Thanks Coach Davis for being our friend, our mentor, and our Coach. We are better people for knowing you.
